Here we are. Serious Sim.
A group of people from Poland who thought that since they love playing video games so much, they should create one themselves. And then another, and another, and… here we are. A few games in and we still love it! Not only as players anymore, but also as developers.
We like stories that don't avoid difficult topics. Cooperation in the creative process is essential to us. We also adore that moment in the morning before the first coffee, when you realise that your work is cool and will be fun.

JAKUB BUKAŁA
CEO / Project Leader
Some say that he has a PhD in computational mechanics, but left academia to make video games and teach academic students in that field. One thing is certain though, he is a proud nerd - interactive media, board games and role-playing enthusiast! He loves strategy and RPG games. He also likes mountain hiking and riding a bike. He is a social democrat. Currently a CEO, project leader, producer, programmer and occasional game designer at Serious Sim.

KATARZYNA HAPTAŚ
Art Director
There's nothing else she loves more than creating little stories in her drawings and paintings. Except for her dog. And her husband. And good food. And nature. And naps. In the end drawing isn't that importnt to her but that's what she does for a living. Once she ran a marathon and didn't die which is a plus.

Writer & Narrative Designer
A writer, a narrative designer, and a podcaster, formerly a university lecturer, a journalist, and a critic. Author of a PhD thesis on autobiographical comics defended at the University of Gdańsk. Co-author of the graphic novel "How to lose 30 kg? A True Love Story" (with Maciej Pałka) and several short comic forms. Co-creator of podcasts about video games Nieczyste zagrywki and Niezatapialni. Co-founder of Serious Sim.

Mechanical engineer turned GameDev somewhere along the way. The perfect storm of an outdoors lover and a couch potato with a mix of hobbies and passions from both worlds. He is equally likely to mountain hike for a week or engage in an 40 hour DOTA2 marathon. Photography, classical fencing, youtube binging, enduro riding, beer and board games are all valid ways to spend free time to him.
